Why I chose Pitt
The interdisciplinary program provided a great opportunity to explore various fields in Biology before narrowing down to a particular field of interest. The University also has some great mentors with excellent publication records. 
Following her graduation from the University of Pittsburgh, Rakshita accepted a position as a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Dr. Matthew LaVoie at the Bringham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
