Why I chose Pitt
Pitt has a strong biomedical history and focus, and its close connections with hospitals offer direct translational opportunities for research; all of which were important to me when deciding on a graduate program. Moreover, I found researchers at Pitt encourage and generally desire to collaborate with peers, and this strong sense of community and willingness to share resources, data, and ideas embodies what I feel science should strive to be.
